Ingredients
- 1 can condensed mushroom soup cream – 10.5 ounces
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cans green beans, drained (14.5 ounces)
- 1 can French dried onion (6 ounces)
- I cup cheddar cheese
Preparation Directions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F)
- Place mushroom soup, milk, and green beans in a microwave-safe bowl and mix well. Place the mixture on microwave and heat for 3-5 minutes on HIGH.
- Add a half cup cheese into the mixture and heat for an additional 3 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a 1 1/2-quart casserole (baking dish) and sprinkle the crispy French dried onions on top. Add the remaining cheese on top for a truly creamy topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until the onions start to turn golden brown and the cheese melts in.
Cook Tips
- You can add a kick of flavor and spice by including black pepper in your green bean casserole recipe.
- If you don’t like mushroom soup, you can substitute it with cream of celery soup, cream of chicken soup, cream of asparagus soup, or cream of bacon soup.
- To feed more people, simply double the recipe and bake in a bigger baking dish. Increase the cooking time to about 40 minutes or until crispy Fried onions browns and cheese melts.
