Baking with pumpkin and how to make Pumpkin Stuffed Shells is one of my all-time favorite baked recipes. Growing up, we always had pumpkin stuffed cookies on the side. Kids can’t get enough pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin cake… even if they can’t decide between a chocolate chip or vanilla pudding. Well, this long taken-for-granted way of cooking pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup has finally been brought back to life.
I’m talking about baking and, more specifically, making Pumpkin Stuffed Shells in the oven for up to one day. The wonderful combination of the pumpkin pie spice in the filling and the cheese and walnuts create a unique dish that only the chef knows. To make this dish, you just need the following ingredients. You should have a large pan to heat up the oven with, an oven thermometer, non-stick parchment paper, a measuring cup, a mixing bowl set, and a cookie-cutter.
The good news is that you do not need to be a professional pastry chef to make these delicious stuffed shells. If you are new at cooking or are afraid that you might mess it up, it is best to follow the recipe exactly. Simply blend all the ingredients for the recipe into a large bowl. Once blended, add additional ingredients such as walnuts or pecans and mix until the mixture becomes smooth. Now you can add the filling to the mixture.
The next step is to cut out some small holes on the top of the shell. You will want to cover the holes with non-stick parchment paper and turn the stove off. Once that is done, you can start preparing your pumpkin stuffed shells’ filling by blending the egg, oil, water, and nuts together. You will then add the other ingredients and press the mixture into the shell.
Once that is done, you can now preheat your oven. This is probably going to take about an hour. Once your oven has preheated, you can start preparing the nuts and cooked meats for your pumpkin shell stuffing. When you are done with that, you can now remove the shells and let them cool off. You can now stick them into your vacuum sealer for an easy, homemade meal.
You will have to keep in mind when making this recipe to ensure that you have enough olive oil. Without enough olive oil, your stuffed shells will be tasty but dry. The recipe calls for two cups of extra ‘butter’ to ensure that you have enough butter for the recipe. If you hurry or do not like to mess with butter, you can always use vegetable fat instead of butter.
In one day, you should have made about one and a half pounds of stuffed shells. If you are trying to save time and have a large family, you may want to freeze some of it to have just enough for this recipe. If you are not going to freeze it, you may want to put the extra stuffing into a Tupperware container and store it in the fridge. Another option is to use the extra that you produced in your recipe. Some recipes call for it, while others do not.
How to make Pumpkin Stuffed Shells can be one of the best soups you have ever made. The ingredients used are simple and inexpensive, making it a great recipe for all families to enjoy. The beauty of using whole wheat flour is that you can choose the flavor of your choice and create the perfect meal. The only other ingredient you will need is pepper, and you can choose the kind of pepper you like, such as hot or mild. This delicious dish tastes better when you bake the entire thing in one day rather than freezing it.
