If you’re looking for an easy dessert to make and serve to your family or friends, look no further than chocolate chip cookies. They’re delicious and easy to prepare, and they’re great for storing.
origin
Chocolate chip cookies are the world’s most popular cookie. They have been in the world for 77 years and are still enjoyed by millions of people around the world. The origin of chocolate chip cookies is a mystery, but it is believed that it was created accidentally by a dietitian named Ruth Wakefield. She was out of baking chocolate powder and a semi-sweet chocolate bar. While Ruth was mixing the batter, she thought she would mix the pieces of the chocolate with the dough, thinking that the chocolate would melt during baking. However, she was pleasantly surprised to find that the pieces of chocolate did not melt, but stayed intact. This prompted the creation of the famous chocolate chip cookie.
After Ruth Wakefield acquired the Toll House Inn in 1930, she used Nestles semi-sweet chocolate for the cookies. Unfortunately, she ran out of the baker’s chocolate in 1937. So she used a regular chocolate bar and broke it up into smaller pieces.
Storage
When you make chocolate chip cookies, you may want to consider storing them in the freezer. This is a great way to preserve them and make them last longer. However, you want to be careful when freezing them. If you don’t take care of them properly, the moisture in the air can cause them to go bad. It can also lead to condensation, which can cause them to be soggy.
When you freeze your cookies, make sure that you put them in a cool place, such as an icebox. The moisture from the cold air will affect the taste and texture of the cookies. Alternatively, you can store them in the refrigerator, but keep them in a dry and cold area.
