In a land not so far, but still out of view, Lies a magical place, where skies are bright blue. This kingdom of kindness, where smiles always gleam, Is ruled by two words that make everything seem Like a fairy tale wonder, a beautiful view, The magical words: please and thank you.
In this enchanted land, with valleys and streams, Live creatures of kindness, fulfilling their dreams. There are courteous cats and polite little mice, Even the dragons are genuinely nice. For every request, no matter how grand, The words “please” and “thank you” are always at hand.
Once in this kingdom, in a house painted gold, Lived a young girl named Lily, so curious and bold. She had a bright smile and a heart full of glee, But her manners were lacking, as you soon shall see. She’d demand without “please,” grab things without care, And rarely said “thank you,” which just wasn’t fair.
One sunny morning, while playing outside, She met an old wizard, with a beard long and wide. He looked at her kindly and said with a grin, “Lily, my dear, won’t you please let me in?” Surprised by his manners, she opened the gate, And the wizard walked in, never late, never late.
He sat by her side and said, “Lily, my friend, There’s a powerful magic I’d like to extend. It’s simple yet strong, and it starts with just two Magical words: please and thank you.” She looked at him puzzled, her head slightly tilted, Could these words be the secret, so simple, yet gilded?
The wizard then told her a tale so enchanting, Of knights and of dragons, and fairies all chanting. In this tale, the heroes were humble and kind, Using “please” and “thank you” brought peace to their mind. With these words, they opened doors, they made hearts glow, And everywhere they went, kindness would grow.
Lily was fascinated, her eyes opened wide, She decided to try, with the wizard as guide. “Could you please show me more?” she asked with a smile, The wizard nodded, “Yes, let’s go for a while.”
They wandered the kingdom, where wonders abound, Where every polite word made magical sounds. First to the baker, where the bread smelled so sweet, Lily asked, “May I please have a treat?” The baker, delighted by her courteous plea, Gave her a cookie, and she said, “Thank you kindly.”
Next, to the park, where children all played, Lily saw how their manners were perfectly displayed. “Could I join in your game?” she asked with ease, The children said, “Yes, you’re welcome, please!” They played and they laughed, till the sun started to set, Lily’s heart filled with joy, she would never forget.
They visited a meadow where butterflies danced, And every creature they met was perfectly entranced. From rabbits to robins, to a fox so sly, Each one greeted Lily with a warm, friendly “Hi.” She learned that politeness, like magic, could spread, Bringing happiness around, like the sun overhead.
The wizard then said, “Lily, now you can see, How the magic of kindness can set your heart free. With ‘please’ and with ‘thank you,’ you’re never alone, You make friends everywhere, no matter where you roam.”
Lily returned home, her manners now grand, With a new understanding of the magic at hand. She thanked the wizard, her heart full of light, And he vanished in sparkles, into the night.
From that day forward, Lily always would say, “Please” and “thank you,” in the kindest of ways. Her life filled with joy, with friends old and new, All thanks to those magical words, “please” and “thank you.”
So remember, dear children, wherever you go, In lands of bright sun or where cool breezes blow, The power of kindness is simple and true, And it starts with the magic words: “please” and “thank you.”
