Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound cannellini beans
- ½ pound kidney beans
- ½ pound pinto beans
- 1 celery stalk
- ½ green bell pepper
- 1 green hot chili pepper (optional)
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ½ cup bacon, chopped
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground pepper
- ½ tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup water
Preparation Directions
- First, chop the onion, garlic, celery stalk, green pepper, and green chili pepper.
- Cook the bacon for about 10 minutes. Remove it from the pan, leaving the fat.
- In the same pan, add the onion and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes; add the brown sugar and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook for about 10 minutes until browned and no longer pink.
- Season with salt and ground pepper, and add cumin, smoked paprika, mustard, and BBQ sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the 3 types of beans, water, and cooked bacon. Cook for 2 minutes.
